Director – HRMS Admin and Payroll Business Improvement

Do you have a flair for leadership and innovation? The ACT Government is on the lookout for an exceptional Director to lead our HRMS Administration team and drive transformative payroll business improvement initiatives.

In this pivotal role, you will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our payroll operations and oversee the administration of the fortnightly whole-of-government pay run. Your expertise in managing end-to-end payroll processes within the ACT Government framework, experience in interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements and the ability to manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships will be key to the overall success of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support the HRMS Administration team.
• Implement and drive business improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes.
• Supervise and mentor up to seven staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• Maintain and foster crucial relationships across the ACTPS

To excel in this role, you will need:
• Extensive experience in interpreting Enterprise Agreements and understanding their impact on payroll processes.
• Experience in end-to-end payroll management within the ACT Government.
• A deep understanding of the complexities of our branch’s operations.
