Location : Ideally, this person will be based out in the Greater Montreal Region.

We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated sales professional to fill the position of Account Manager for our Performance Adhesives & Specialties group. We are looking for a candidate who will bring professional sales experience to this position to maintain and oversee the territory of the Province of Quebec and the Maritimes and that will focus on developing relationships with existing customers and prospecting new customers.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager will be responsible of promoting Quadra’s products in the performance adhesives and specialties industry with a focus on our adhesive lines used in flexible packaging, general packaging/labeling, product assembly and industrial rubber applications on substrates applications. We are looking for a person with good technical knowledge and experience in the industrial adhesives industry.

What would be your main responsibilities as an Account Manager – Performance Adhesives & Specialties:
• Promoting our portfolio of Industrial adhesive, coating and sealant used for flexible packaging, general packaging/labeling, product assembly and rubber to substrates applications.
• Maintain and grow a strong established customer base
• Manage key customer relationships, in line with Quadra’s core values and strategic vision
• Qualify key decision makers, establish, and maintain relationships with them to obtain repeat and new sales
• Developing strong relationships with new and existing customers and grow sales with both
• Develop and utilize internal and external resources, showcasing Quadra’s reputation for service excellence
• Sell Quadra’s superior product line to potential customers through routine customer visits, joint calls, and participation in industry events
• Providing technical assistance for established customer base
• Assist with customer troubleshooting and optimization opportunities
• Manage tight timelines and deal with after hour emergencies
• Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements
• Cold calling potential customers
• Weekly reporting and scheduling
• Actively participate in financial forecasting exercises
• Ensure the planning and organization of his/her time while participating in any other various projects as requested by the Sales Manager

Having the following qualifications and skills will make you the ideal candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Marketing, or in a science field would be considered a strong asset
• Possess a strong analytical and technical skill set necessary to learn and troubleshoot adhesive applications
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer prospecting and business development; proven track record of sales growth and customer retention – business to business experience is key
• Experience in the industrial adhesives market with knowledge of the manufacturing sector is considered an asset
• Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills in developing, following up and closing sales opportunities
• Recognized for the ability to build trust with customers
• Ability to be self-motivated, self-directed, learn new technologies and adapt to new situations
• Possess a high degree of organization, planning and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent negotiation skills and strong business acumen
• Bring proven presentation and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills, experience with a CRM (ideally Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills and initiative
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight travel
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel outside of Canada
