THE ROLE

As Hook + Ladder’s first dedicated Copywriter, you’ll centralize our messaging across platforms and have the opportunity to shape the voice of our clients and create copy that inspires action. This is a pivotal role that will connect our designers, strategists and functional teams, streamlining communication and improving collaboration. Your work will add significant value to our clients by refining their brand narratives and solidifying Hook + Ladder’s reputation for innovative, results-driven campaigns. Here’s how you’ll contribute:
• Develop creative copy concepts for various brands across platforms like ads, landing pages, emails, and social media.
• Write clear, concise, and engaging copy tailored to specific audiences and goals.
• Maintain brand consistency across all written materials to create cohesive brand narratives.
• Collaborate with art directors, designers, and strategists to align messaging with campaign objectives.
• Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, coherence, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Ensure language across platforms is precise and consistent, enhancing user experience.
• Conduct research to understand target audiences, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to inform your copy.

ABOUT YOU

• 2-3+ years of experience in advertising copywriting or a related field.
• Exceptional English writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging cohesion.
• A creative and proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering high-quality content.
• The ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring their requirements are met and exceeded.
• Located in North America.

• Located in Calgary, AB, or Vancouver, BC.
