Pricing Administrator

Who we are:

Beyond Retail is an award-winning multi-website online retailer offering bathroom, kitchen and heating products to Britain’s homeowners and tradespeople. Over 8 million people visit our websites each year, and we’re on a mission to help create well-designed homes that look great, feel special, and positively impact people’s everyday lives.

We’re just over 10 years old, and in that time, we’ve accelerated from zero to £50m/year revenue, won local and national awards, and grown to 150-plus people. Our three websites—Drench, Tap Warehouse, and Only Radiators—are growing from strength to strength, and we’re looking for a Pricing Administrator who will help us continue our growth journey.

As our Pricing Administrator, you will manage our price changes and process the pricing for all of our lovely new product launches. You will contribute to Beyond Retail’s overall growth and help us become our industry’s biggest and best online retailer.

Areas of responsibility – Pricing:

Processing supplier-lead price changes:
• Creating initial price change reports for the team for them to understand the impact of the price change and to initiate action such as negotiating with our supplier or re-sourcing the product to another supplier
• A full investigation of price change files to match up our SKUs, apply our terms and confirm discontinuations
• Communicating professionally with our suppliers to confirm pricing queries
• Creating price change template spreadsheets for the Directors to reprice both new products and supplier-led price changes
• Performing pre-import and post-import checks for any commercially detrimental import issues

• Writing up documentation on each supplier’s price change to log the nuances
• Keeping our Master Terms Tracking spreadsheet up to date as well as keeping pricing files well organised on the Drive
• Contacting suppliers to understand when the next price changes are coming into effect so you can plan the upcoming queue
• Working with the Directors to improve the price change process which may include updating the price change spreadsheets, creating new templates and creating new reports
• Compiling low-margin reports

Process management:

You will have individual accountability and ownership of set processes whereby you will have the following expectations:
• Your process is executed by you as regularly as required
• You’ll review the process monthly to look at where improvements can be made, which could include:
• Reviewing process failures and putting in place safety nets to prevent them happening again
• Company-wide training to improve the input into the process
• Requesting or making amendments to spreadsheets to streamline processes
• Updating documentation regularly to ensure it accurately reflects the process

from start to finish in case of illness, holiday and general support during busy

periods
• Communicating change of process across the department and company where appropriate
• Doing common sense checks on your process to make sure you’ve captured any potential future process failures, checking formula errors, checking reporting errors

Future roles and responsibilities will be explored and added to this role once the existing pricing has been improved and maintained.

What we’re looking for:
• Demonstrable experience in using either Google Sheets or Excel above a basic level. You’ll be using Vlookups extensively, so you must be confident with formulas.
• An impressive level of attention to detail and passion for the importance of data accuracy.
• Ambition, initiative and top-notch organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills as well as being self-motivated to work independently.
• Tech literate with the ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

• All the tech you need + remote working budget for setting up your home office
• A fantastic office, or flexibility to work at home – the choice is yours

Our Values

Our ten core values shape everything we do. These inform the foundations of our relationships with customers and each other but they also shape how we measure and reward the performance of our colleagues. Simply put, success is not about who you are or how loud you shout, but about the impact you make and what you do. We encourage doing rather than dreaming – if you have an idea, speak up and we will listen! Everyone’s opinion matters and any suggestions are welcomed.

Our Diversity

We aim to foster a culture where individuals of all backgrounds feel confident in bringing their whole selves to work, feel included, and have their talents nurtured, empowering them to contribute fully to our vision and goals.

It’s what we do that counts, not where we do it…

At Beyond Retail, we believe the future of work is about flexibility. Not everyone does their best work from an office and wants to work from home exclusively. Moving forward, employees can work flexibly from home or in the office. We even have an app that enables you to schedule your time & space at the office to suit you!

Home Working Support Scheme

We want to ensure that those who choose to work from home can still work in the best possible environment and are not left out of pocket.

In a nutshell, we offer a one-off allowance for you to set up your home office.
