Sales Team Leader (remote)

Location: Home-based position with occasional visits to the office in Normanton, Wakefield. All initial training will be on-site.

Working hours: 40 hours over Monday-Friday and 1 in 3 Saturdays

Salary: basic salary up to £35,000 + bonus

About the Role:

· Team Performance: Maximize the performance of sales agents by embedding a culture of continuous improvement across call quality, compliance, and sales KPIs.

· Coaching and Development: Conduct meaningful 1-2-1 sessions, coaching agents on call quality, customer outcomes, and performance KPIs. Drive performance improvements.

· Accountability: Set SMART objectives and behavioural actions for agents, ensuring high levels of personal accountability. Manage underperformance using the Performance Management policy. Handle escalations/complex customers that cannot be resolved by the team.

· Sales Culture: Lead by example, maintaining exemplary personal standards of conduct. Create a high-energy, professional sales culture that motivates and engages the team.

· Performance Monitoring: Complete and update weekly and monthly trackers, dashboards, and reports on performance. Participate in effective team meetings, call listening and training sessions.

· Recruitment: Assist with the recruitment process, acquire the most suitable calibre candidate.

Customer Focus: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, processes, and industry best practices. Ensure all activities are aligned with our customer-first mindset.

Skills/Experience:
• Previous leadership and coaching experience.
• Experienced within a targeted telephone/office/contact centre/field sales environment.
• Understanding and working knowledge of IT packages (e.g. Gmail, chat platforms).
• Understanding of KPIs.
• Data entry/CRM experience.
• Ability to prioritise effectively with strong multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent listening and questioning skills.
• Ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
