Job Summary: The Risk & Process Manager is responsible for overseeing the identification, prioritization, documentation, and remediation of business and technology risks across key operational areas and product groups that support customer service. This role encompasses managing risk for approximately 100+ applications, ensuring that all threats to business and technology systems are effectively mitigated.
Key Responsibilities:
• Risk Identification & Assessment: Lead efforts to identify potential business and technology threats, assessing their impact and likelihood to prioritize remediation efforts
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of risks, remediation plans, and mitigation progress. Generate regular reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
• Remediation Oversight: Work closely with business units and technology teams to ensure identified risks are mitigated or remediated in a timely manner, and escalate issues when necessary
• Process Management: Implement and manage risk-related processes, ensuring they align with organizational standards and objectives
• Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to ensure cohesive risk management strategies and processes
• Technology Risk Management: Ensure that the technology risks for applications are continuously monitored and addressed, taking into account evolving security threats
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry best practices
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update risk management practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of the risk management framework
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (less education combined with relevant experience will be considered)
• 5+ years of experience in risk management, process management, or related fields, preferably in highly regulated environments such as financial services or banking environment
• Knowledge of security and technology risk in a variety of business applications
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly involving IT and business units
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to report to and influence stakeholders
