Bloom PortCo Marketing Advisor/Consultant
Bloom Equity Partners is hiring a Marketing Advisor/Consultant for a new portfolio company in the data management space that provides turnkey data integration and quality software/services to its global base of customers.
Position Overview
The company is seeking a talented Marketing Advisor to join our team and help refine our product strategy and go-to-market messaging. As a Marketing Advisor, you will work closely with the company’s product development, sales, and marketing teams to translate their refined product strategy into clear go-to-market messaging. Your expertise will guide efforts to align offerings with market needs and customer expectations. This will be a hands-on contributor role helping to craft the vision and develop the required language and marketing materials.
Key Responsibilities
• Product Positioning Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define product positioning, differentiation, and value propositions.
• Messaging Framework: Create clear, compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences and aligns with brand values.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer success, to ensure alignment and effective communication of product offerings.
• Customer Personas: Develop detailed customer personas to inform marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Sales & Marketing Collateral Development: support development of new sales collateral for customer and market conversations
• Customer / System Integration Mgmt.: interface with customers and channel partners to understand their needs and help shape our messaging to better resonate with the market
Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience as a marketing executive, consultant or advisor
• Proven experience as a marketing advisor or similar role for software companies that sell B2B technical solutions, preferably with experience in data management / integration software industries, such as Master Data Management (MDM), Customer Database Platform (CDP), Data Warehousing or ETL solutions.
• Strong understanding of product marketing principles and go-to-market strategies.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and customer feedback.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling narratives.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience in developing customer personas and segmenting target audiences.

• Location: Remote (either East Coast USA or Western Europe) with the ability to travel to Paris (company HQ) if needed
