Description
We are seeking a highly skilled temporary Writer specializing in Compliance, Regulatory, and Policy matters within the Human Resources industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing clear and concise written materials that communicate complex regulatory frameworks and compliance strategies to a variety of stakeholders. This position requires exceptional writing skills, deep understanding of HR regulations, nonprofit governance and law, and the ability to distill intricate policy information into user-friendly documents and toolkits. The Writer will collaborate with a group of writers to complete a list of policies that all materials accurately reflect current nonprofit compliance standards and recommeded organizational policies. The successful candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with a team of writers to create a board manual, volunteer manual, and complete an Institutional Review Board Toolkit that support our compliance initiative and ensures that the organization adheres to applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities
• Develop and write compliance and regulatory documentation for internal use and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR and board of directors to ensure accuracy in compliance-related materials.
• Create training resources and educational materials focusing on policy implementations.
• Research and analyze current regulatory requirements and trends to inform documentation.
• Review and update policy documents to reflect changes in law or organizational procedure.
• Assist in the preparation of toolkits and compliance audits as necessary.
• Provide guidance to employees regarding compliance issues and regulatory policies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical writing, particularly in compliance and regulatory contexts.
• Strong understanding of HR policies and applicable north carolina nonprofit laws and regulations.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in using various documentation and compliance tools/software.
