Job Description – Financial Lead controllership operations – Reporting, taxation, treasury, compliance, risk management, audit, forecasting etc.
• Responsible for streamlining processes and the Finance Department.
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage outsourced functions like Chartered Secretary services to ensure legal compliance, work with outside tax experts to file accurate tax returns to Indian tax authorities, make sure IAPL books are audited in accordance with Indian law.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and government reporting requirements, document retention policy, and tax filings for e.g. GST, Income tax etc.
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department (for both IAI and IAPL), including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of clients in coordination with Sales and Operations
• Conduct periodic reviews with… department/function heads and drive corrective action where required to ensure Profitability.
• Analyze the profitability of various segments of the company’s business and advise the management team on how to improve profitability.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations. To Publish and present financial and operating metrics.
• Lead and coordinate various audits, including but not limited to a statutory, internal audit of client deliverables and mistake-proofing the errors, and tax audits.
• Proactively provide analysis and strategic insight to senior management
• Continually seek to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of financial and accounting processes and controls.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Leadership
• Be a Financial Advisor to the CEO
• Build and maintain a departmental structure, operating standards, and practices that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs.
• Develop and implement a talent plan to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time to meet the organization’s strategic needs.
• Manage employee performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring timely feedback, and promptly addressing performance problems and issues.
• Manage direct reports to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and develop their assigned staff.
Team Management
• Manage team functions and utilizations, viz. workforce planning, facilitating recruitment, selection, induction, performance appraisal, training, etc., in line with overall business goals.
• Share knowledge, mentor, train and educate the organization’s staff regarding the company’s vision, opportunities, and challenges.
• Be an integral, collaborative member of the Executive team, driving strategic decisions with financial expertise and unwavering support for Organizational success.
• Ensure company operation hurdles are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Requirement
• Master’s or a bachelor’s degree in commerce with 10 + years of experience or in a related field.
• Candidates who have completed the qualifications to be a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (may apply)
• Leader with a service mindset who takes pride in growing the people she/he leads.
• Deep understanding of how to use accounting to create value for the client.
• Passion for using the best tools available to transform the business. (Knowledge on Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho Books, Quick books – highly preferable)
• Experience with process management techniques like Six Sigma, TQM is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals to higher levels of performance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Able to interact with US clients and prospects via phone, email, and in person.
