Mergers and Acquisitions Manager

The Mergers and Acquisitions Manager will play a critical role in managing and executing the M&A process, from identifying potential targets to integrating acquisitions. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, financial acumen, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate development, finance, or investment banking, with a focus on M&A activities.

Must willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA if not already local (assistance provided). The opportunity is hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary project manager for M&A transactions, ensuring that all deal tracking and execution processes are followed. Establish and maintain accountability measures that align with the company’s growth and productivity targets.
• Establish and implement metrics to identify key acquisition targets.
• Develop processes for consistent follow-up and relationship building.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive database to ensure transparency and accountability, enabling senior leaders to track progress and make informed decisions.
• Manage the calendar of upcoming project deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timelines are met and expectations are clear.
• Gather and maintain data on current and past transactions.
• Assist with internal reporting requirements, providing insights and updates to senior management.
• Create and maintain a detailed deal information log.
• Assist in due diligence activities, including document requests and the preparation of data rooms.
• Prepare materials for internal and external meetings, ensuring all relevant data is accurately presented.
• Collaborate with operational teams to facilitate successful deal execution.
• Manage various functional work streams, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Synthesize information and data to develop and communicate the business case for potential acquisitions to senior management and shareholders.
• Prepare detailed descriptions of target companies, including product and service analyses and financial evaluations.
• Build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and communication channels.
• Support additional finance and accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or a related area.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• PMP and/or CPA certification preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a global focus.
• Experience with M&A database management and deal tracking systems.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of M&A transactions.
• Experience in a global corporate environment.
