Job Overview

We are in search of a skilled Accountant/Business Manager to enhance our financial operations. This critical position entails overseeing all financial facets of our organization, including multiple entities and our vacation rental franchise. Reporting directly to our managing owner, you will collaborate seamlessly with our operations team, acting as a technical authority and systems expert.

Key Responsibilities
• Financial Management:
• Document financial transactions accurately through data entry, journal entries, and validation.
• Prepare payments, reconcile financial statements, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing and analyzing accounting records and financial reports.
• Deliver timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and management requirements.
• Maintain and oversee the general ledger while ensuring meticulous historical records.
• Ensure adherence to all tax regulations and manage fixed assets and cash levels.
• Vacation Rental Finance Oversight:
• Utilize industry-specific software and QuickBooks Online for effective financial management.
• Assist in generating monthly financial statements for homeowners and deliver final statements.
• Create and provide accurate annual 1099s to homeowners.
• Analyze property profitability and conduct vendor and cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax and HR regulations.

Required Skills
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with Track vacation rental software and Gusto integrated with QBO is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong financial acumen.
• Robust software and systems capabilities.
• Commitment to compliance, ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication abilities, a positive attitude, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work consistently and precisely, with a strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.

Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant financial experience in private accounting, business, or bookkeeping.
• An Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience with financials specific to the vacation rental industry is strongly preferred.

Compensation And Benefits
• Employment type: Full-time, salaried position.
• Work schedule: Monday – Friday with some flexibility.
• Salary range: (50K – )90K based on experience and qualifications.
• Benefits include paid time off and sick leave.
