We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or an Enrolled Agent to contribute to our esteemed tax department as a remote, full-time or part-time contract Tax Preparer for the upcoming 2025 tax season, spanning from late January through April. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and trusts.
• Estimate tax liabilities while guiding clients in understanding their tax responsibilities.
• Manage workflows and securely archive data and tax returns through a paperless system.
• Enter tax return information into Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax software.
• Collaborate with Thomson Reuters TaxCaddy and SurePrep to streamline processes.
• Conduct comprehensive tax research utilizing Thomson Reuters Checkpoint Edge.
• Work alongside the tax team and wealth managers to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Required Skills
• Strong technology, research, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Ultra Tax or Checkpoint tax research is advantageous.
• Ability to tackle creative challenges and meet stringent deadlines.
Qualifications
• Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) license.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing individual income tax returns.
• A genuine passion for research and analysis.
• A professional demeanor and appearance are essential.
• Must possess a reliable computer and internet connection for remote work.
• Candidates must reside in the U.S.
