About the Organization:

JLens empowers investors to align their capital with Jewish values and advocates for Jewish communal priorities in the corporate arena. An affiliate of ADL since 2022, JLens was launched in 2012 to increase the Jewish community’s participation in shareholder advocacy with the world’s largest and most influential public corporations. Our Jewish Investor Network is composed of over 30 Jewish institutions, representing more than $10 billion in Jewish community investment capital. These institutions have invested over $260M in products licensing JLens’ Jewish Advocacy Strategy. This research, advocacy & screening strategy is the only one that conducts Jewish shareholder advocacy with hundreds of the largest U.S. public companies. JLens’ advocacy is focused on combating antisemitism & hate, supporting Israel, and addressing critical Tikkun Olam issues.

ADL is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913, its timeless mission is “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of antisemitism and bias, using innovation and partnerships to drive impact. A global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism, and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens, ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.

JLens Research

JLens is the only organization conducting research on corporate behavior and policy related to issues of importance to the Jewish community. JLens’ bespoke company scorecards on Combating Antisemitism & Hate and Support for Israel are the backbone of its screening and advocacy strategies and inform shareholder advocacy priorities. JLens conducted research into financial services firm Morningstar’s ESG ratings that exposed systemic anti-Israel bias. This research inspired a community-wide campaign which resulted in wholesale changes to Morningstar’s methodology and analyst guidelines. Recent JLens report, The Impact of Israel Divestment on Equity Portfolios: Forecasting BDS’s Financial Toll on University Endowments, was a first-of-its-kind study that comprehensively quantified the financial implications of BDS-aligned investment strategies for universities. Students across the U.S. are utilizing the findings to combat calls for their universities to divest from Israel.

We are seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented, and self-starting Research Analyst (Independent Contractor) on a part-time, fixed-term basis to bolster JLens’ research efforts.
