In this role, you will serve as a Client Accounting Manager over an assigned book of business where you will be responsible for the financial operations, budgets & forecasts, and other business needs of the firm’s partners, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and oversight of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
What You Will Do:
• Serve as a financial consultant to our partners/clients, focusing on both financial reporting and financial planning and analysis
• Hold weekly and monthly meetings with our partners and present current financial statements, key performance indicators, and provide sound, actionable plans for improvement
• Prepare and review financial reports, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations for monthly or annual closings
• Analyze trends, data, information, and be able to research effectively
• Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts
• Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs
What We Need You to Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience being responsible for monthly close, financial reporting, and possessing supervisory responsibilities
• Comfortability meeting with clients on a regular basis
• Working knowledge of the following: accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, reconciliation of balance sheet, preparation and compilation of supporting financial reports
• Strong attention to detail; problem-solving skills; ability to take initiative and possess strong leadership skills
• Driven with a strong desire to learn, improve, and grow with the firm
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with peers, managers, and clients
• Familiarity with common accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage suite of software preferred
