Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the month-end process to ensure Group reporting timetables are adhered to.
• Prepare monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet, as well as variance analysis.
• Review inventory including price and usage variances, standard costs, and analysis of slow-moving inventory.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor projects.
• Support ongoing ERP developments and identify… opportunities for process efficiencies and automation.
• Liaise with budget holders.
• Support the Financial Controller to ensure internal controls are implemented.
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Assist with year-end work including liaison with auditors.
• Ensure the company complies with HMRC requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
• Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members.
Requirements:
• Professional accounting qualification e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with at least 2 years post-qualified experience.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in cost accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing setting.
• Confident and effective communicator with a good level of written and oral English.
• Experience of supervising staff
