A3 Consulting, LLC is seeking a Technical Writer, who will be responsible for writing full life cycle documentation, performing requirements elicitation, leading and participating in Agile ceremonies and Waterfall-based meetings, performing demos, creating mock-ups, understanding and representing users’ interests, and listening to users and communicating with them via numerous channels. In this role you will:
• Interview Subject Matter Experts, facilitate meetings, and use information systems to draft installation, end user, administration, and maintenance documentation, such as administration guides, user guides, and online help.
• Write and edit the full lifecycle documentation for COTS and GOTS information systems, in addition to other documentation deliverables as required by the customer, including all varieties of end user and administrator documentation.
• Develop and deliver audience-appropriate communications and training artifacts to educate target audiences (e.g., release announcements, training manuals, FAQs, etc.).
• Gather user feedback, report issues, and create change requests from the field for approval by stakeholders.
• Manage centralized knowledge bases (i.e. SharePoint, Teams, IntelShare, Confluence, etc.), including managing content, posting announcements, and communicating system changes and issues using the platforms.
• Develop and maintain DoD Risk Management Framework (DoDRMF) Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts.
• Elicit, document, and refine requirements. Requirements might be captured as user stories, traditional requirements statements (“The system shall…”), and use cases.
• Work with the Product Owner, developers, and other stakeholders to create high-level design documentation, GUI mockups, and wireframes.
• Document and communicate standard processes that are part of the SDLC for both Agile and Waterfall projects.
• Perform research and systems analysis and clearly communicate findings verbally and in written form through diagrams and presentations.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing—often translating complex technical information for nontechnical audiences.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e. Information Technology, Writing, Communication, etc.) or equivalent work experience
• Certified SCRUM Master, Project Management Profession, Certified Technical Writer, etc. a plus.
• Three (3) years’ experience as Technical Writer, Business Analyst, and/or similar role
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Expert or near expert level proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and JIRA/Confluence
• Detail-oriented and committed to technical accuracy and quality
• Possess reasonable technical knowledge
• Able to work independently or in a team environment
• Able to understand and consistently apply customer style guidelines
• Experience creating documentation for multiple audiences
• Experience working with technical and non-technical team members, and stakeholders at different levels in the IT field
• Flexible and able to respond quickly to constantly changing priorities while working on multiple projects.

Salary Range:
• The salary range of this position is $80,000 – $100,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
