Impact of the Club Experience
About the Role
BGC Canada works with Clubs across the country to deliver high-quality, intentional children, youth and family programming based on BGC Canada’s Model for Success (theory of change). BGC Canada is interested in developing program resources including but not exclusive of, program manuals, staff guides, toolkits, etc. to be used across the country to support local Clubs in their programming.
Specifically, BGC Canada is recruiting content developers to create curriculum for our Brain Gain program. This is an educational initiative tailored to BGC Clubs, aiming to bolster educational persistence among children aged 6-12. Our goal is to enhance literacy and numeracy skills, promoting problem-solving, fostering a passion for learning and nurturing curiosity through play-based and experiential learning. Content will support Club staff to create environments where every moment becomes an opportunity for growth and discovery.
BGC Canada is engaging in an RFP process to update the curriculum to adapt programming to address the complex and growing needs of Club members.
BGC Canada is looking for an external curriculum consultant to update the previous version of the program to reflect the diversity of BGC Club members nationally, create new content based on various learning styles, consider adaptations for neurodivergent learners, and update play-based learning activities to promote inclusion and current best practices. The new program manual will contain a series of modules designed to support numeracy and literacy skills for ages 6-12 and will guide Club staff through a set of learning activities.
