Remote Clinical Research Manager for Oncology

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Research Manager to take the helm of our clinical research team within a fast-paced Thoracic Oncology Program. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives under pressure, is exceptionally organized, and exhibits a strong aptitude for project management and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee a diverse team of Clinical Research Staff, including Clinical Research Supervisors, Senior Clinical Research Coordinators, and Clinical Research Coordinators (totaling 6-9 members).
• Manage workload and productivity, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to meet essential objectives such as recruitment goals, data entry timelines, and compliance with sponsor requirements.
• Drive the development and training initiatives for staff, promoting high-quality outcomes and superior customer service.
• Engage in strategic planning to align with program goals, while providing operational leadership in daily activities.
• Serve as a point of contact for Principal Investigators and oversight committees, addressing their needs efficiently.
• Report performance metrics and work closely with the Associate Director to assess program effectiveness.

Required Skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical research, including protocol compliance, clinical trial recruitment, and accurate data submission.
• Strong organizational capabilities, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationship-building with stakeholders at all levels.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving proficiency to address challenges effectively.
• Familiarity with clinical trial management systems and relevant software tools, such as word processors and spreadsheets.

Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with 5+ years of supervisory experience, or equivalent training.
• Certification as a Clinical Trial Professional from a recognized professional society to be obtained within one year of hire.
• Proven leadership skills, particularly within research environments, demonstrating effective team management.
