Senior Director, Creative – Remote

The Senior Director, Creative plays a pivotal role in shaping Creative and Art direction for the company. Responsible for the management and execution of overall creative brand development for television networks and corporate priorities including design, digital, and marketing assets. Provide strategic creative leadership by elevating the quality and impact of visual content across all of brand… and marketing. Execute solutions through fast-paced problem solving and conceptual skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Oversee the development of creative for use in Scripps businesses on a variety of platforms and TV Networks
• Lead and guide projects from concept to completion in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure focus on project quality, branding, and implementation for use.
• Oversee translation and execution against creative assignment, request interpretation and feedback.
• Balance and manage priorities for team delivering on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with other departments and divisions on strict timelines.
• Prepare and guide budget process for team.
• Collaborate with peers and management to recruit, manage and develop creative leaders and professionals.
• Lead team of directors, producers, writers, artists and technicians.
• Lead and mentor others to become strong creative contributors.
• Lead and organize leadership approvals, team meetings and project presentations and provide marketing team representation for outside departmental approvals with stakeholders.
• Collaborate to maintain and improve work request and asset management systems that meet business partner’s needs.
• Develop and maintain company standards and style guidelines.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• BS/BA in related discipline
• Generally, 10+ years of experience in a television or media company or creative agency , including managerial experience
• Experience directing print, digital and motion design
• Experience with directing, scripting, and shoot production
• Experience with broadcast package, corporate and promotions and marketing design.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• Knowledge of sales branded content and activations
• Excellent understanding of promotions, design and implementation
• Working knowledge of video editing and production
• Outstanding leadership and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to effectively to recruit, manage and develop creative managers and professionals
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite; extensive working knowledge of TV broadcast systems
• Working knowledge of marketing creative processes
• High emotional intelligence: self-awareness and awareness of others
• Calm under pressure: ability to adapt and direct teams under tight deadlines
• Highly organized
