JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN (Core) – Research Center

This off-shift Jr. DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN position will be located in our Research and Development Facility. Primary responsibilities will include:
• Operating ceramic core presses and injection molding machines.
• Processing prototype parts as required to meet customer requirements, including through hand finishing operations.
• Processing of additive manufacturing of components used in the manufacture of wax patterns and ceramic cores.
• Responsibility for standardizing/documenting procedures.
• Working closely with engineering and other technicians, with a common goal of producing quick turn core, pattern and casting solutions in support of both internal and external development projects.
• Performs and documents a variety of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities, as required.
• Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 2 years continuous work experience post high school; or 6 months manufacturing experience post high school.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 years’ experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Injection molding experience
• Problem solving abilities
• Comfortable using various basic windows based software, such as excel and word.
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Able to work in a team environment
• Self-starter, needing little supervision.
• Strong math/mechanical aptitude.
• Strong work ethic.
• Flexibility and open-mindedness a must, in order to work in a non-standard/specialty work environment.
