We are in an accelerated growth phase and looking for highly motivated accomplished and driven Vehicle Applications Developer to join our growing team. As a part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and products, from conception to deployment. This position will work in the Waterloo/Toronto, Canada location.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop high-quality… and high-performance in-vehicle application software for software-defined vehicles.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Design and develop scalable software solutions to meet stringent automotive requirements.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Maintain and support software deployed on production vehicles.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration test cases to ensure code quality.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensures best practices in software development.
• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with team members both within and across projects. Mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications and Experience
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. MS/PhD degrees are preferred.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• Solid C++ programming experience.
• Extensive experience in systems design, multithreading, and concurrent programming.
• Experience with Python and shell scripting languages.
• Experience in designing data-intensive applications.
• Experience in Linux, Android, and/or other POSIX operating systems.
• Experience with networking technologies such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, HTTP.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
