Data Architect (AWS) — Remote
Our client in the insurance industry is looking for a Data Architect to drive platform enablement and product creation. Reporting to the Design Chapter Lead, this role focuses on leveraging platform capabilities to deliver customer-focused solutions efficiently. The Lead Data Product Designer advocates for customer needs, integrating product strategies across the platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to ensure the successful adoption of platform deliverables.
What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $50 to $60, based on experience.
• 12-month contract with a potential extension of up to 13 months.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Work Schedule: 8 am to 4 pm, with flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with platform leadership to develop and maintain platform and product roadmaps.
• Provide guidance to business and IT customers on platform capabilities during initial… consultations.
• Participate in Platform Incremental Planning (QIP) meetings, managing customer-requested features into the platform backlog.
• Assist customers with onboarding and adoption of new platform solutions, offering best practices and knowledge support.
• Define customer success metrics for the platform team and translate them into actionable OKRs.
• Act as a thought leader, staying ahead of modern technologies to meet evolving customer demands.
• Collaborate in design reviews, assessing deliverables from a customer-focused perspective.
• Work with technical partners, including Enterprise Architecture, Cloud CoE, Security, and Data Governance teams, to ensure solution alignment with architectural vision.
• Resolve complex issues related to new and existing data patterns and applications.
• Establish strong relationships across teams, maintaining open communication to ensure alignment on objectives.
• Coach and mentor team members on best practices in build and deployment processes.
• Lead by example, promoting data-driven decision-making and fostering a culture of innovation within the team.
What you will need to succeed:
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and design, with at least 2 years of AWS cloud-native design experience.
• Proven ability to lead as a servant technology leader, defining and implementing technical strategies in complex environments.
• Expertise in end-to-end platform and product lifecycle management.
• Strong experience with AWS services (EMR, S3, Glue, Lambda, Sagemaker) and big data ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of architecture, data integration, and solution design.
• Proficiency in ETL technologies and BI tools.
• Agile expertise, with experience working in Agile teams and managing evolving product backlogs.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of influencing technical strategy at the enterprise level and guiding diverse teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Security Clearance: Enhanced Reliability Clearance (ERC) required.
