Job Title: Senior Vice President, Oncology Research and Development

Position Overview:
Myriad Genetics is seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Vice President of Oncology Research and Development to lead and shape the future of product innovation for our Oncology Business Unit (BU). The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in clinical oncology and a proven track record in spearheading R&D initiatives in diverse oncology indications, including, but not limited to, breast, prostate, ovarian, and other solid tumors. Experience in emerging technologies such as Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) is a strong plus. This leader will be responsible for driving innovation by collaborating across the R&D, product management, biopharma, operations, and commercial teams at Myriad—as well as with external parties—to advance oncology diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership:
• Elucidate and execute the R&D roadmap for Myriad’s Oncology BU, with a focus on enriching the current oncology product portfolio and expanding it with new offerings.
• Drive efforts in innovative diagnostic technologies, including MRD as a potential future area of expansion, ensuring the company’s position as a leader in oncology diagnostics.
• Identify optimal continuous-improvement opportunities for existing products including their expansion across indications.
• Interface with molecular scientists, computational scientists, biostatisticians, automation engineers, clinical-trial managers, medical writers, and others within R&D to bring new products to market and existing products to full potential.
• Collaborate closely with product management and commercial teams to ensure alignment of oncology R&D priorities with market needs and clinical gaps.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and clinical experts across a broad spectrum of oncology subspecialties.
• Engage with established clinical research networks and oncology groups to secure access to cohorts for generating data that will demonstrate the clinical validity and clinical utility of Myriad’s oncology portfolio.
• Clinical Research & Advisory Leadership:
• Support design and implementation of clinical studies that drive the clinical adoption, regulatory approval, and reimbursement of Myriad’s oncology tests.
• Lead research advisory boards to ensure Myriad R&D strategically selects where best to operate on the frontier of innovation in the broader oncology ecosystem.
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in oncology, with a focus on developing innovative diagnostics or therapies.
• Proven track record of leading successful R&D programs in the oncology space.
• Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate across departments.
• Experience working with clinical investigators, KOLs, and regulatory bodies.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies in oncology, including MRD (Minimal Residual Disease), is highly desirable.
Skills:
• Strategic thinker with a strong clinical background.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Education:
