Job Description

RockCreek seeks a dynamic, resourceful, energetic, and detail-oriented Associate for the Office of the CEO. The primary responsibility will be to support the firm’s CEO in:
• research on climate and sustainability economic and financial trends;
• business development and client services efforts, including providing administration and scheduling support, coordinating travel, conducting research, writing and editing reports and correspondence, planning events, and handling external communication.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, flexible, able to anticipate change, passionate and up to date on current financial markets and sustainability. The candidate should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The candidate must be a team player who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to demanding and ever-changing situations. The Associate would have opportunities to attend certain meetings or events with the CEO.

Specific Responsibilities include:
• Creating and editing internal and external presentations
• Creating, compiling, and arranging meeting, event, and speaker briefing materials
• Researching trends and topics in sustainable investing, finance, and international economics
• Assisting in managing client and other business relationships for the CEO
• Conceptualizing and organizing sustainabilitity-focused speaking events and webinars involving the CEO and external guests
• Drafting website and social media descriptions of teamwide and CEO events
• Coordinating across business units to communicate and implement firm-wide priorities and practices
• Ad hoc projects and requests as needed

Qualifications

Key Experience
• Strong academic background (or equivalent) including undergraduate or postgraduate courses in economics, finance, sustainable environment and data analytics
• Experience in sustainable investing, communications, or consulting industries
• Strong analytic and data analysis skills
• Experience in economics, finance, and data analytics is preferred
• Understanding of global financial markets, economic news, and business through study and work
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with an ability to take charge and manage projects under tight deadlines
• Ability to work flexible hours while taking ownership
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A highly organized problem solver with a knack for developing and executing processes designed to maximize efficiency
• Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Office365) and WordPress
• Data visualization (e.g. Tableau and Canva) software skills are a plus
