About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Game Designer to join our ambitious and growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer with proven experience on well-known AAA titles to take the lead in shaping the future of immersive, high-quality gaming experiences. You’ll be instrumental in crafting core gameplay systems, designing player progression, and creating unforgettable player journeys that captivate audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Gameplay Design & Prototyping: Create, iterate, and refine core game mechanics and systems that define the heart of the game. Drive rapid prototyping to test new concepts and assess gameplay viability.
• Player Journey Crafting: Design engaging game loops, progression mechanics, and player experiences that are both memorable and rewarding.
• Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with artists, writers, and engineers to ensure gameplay, narrative, and visuals align seamlessly to deliver a cohesive experience.
• Player-Centric Iteration: Gather player feedback and conduct playtests to continually refine game features, ensuring high engagement and satisfaction.
• Balance & Tuning: Adjust gameplay mechanics, difficulty, and pacing to craft an immersive experience that resonates with a wide audience.
• Creative Documentation: Develop detailed design documentation that communicates systems, features, and mechanics clearly across all teams.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior designers, promoting growth and supporting the overall creative process within the team.
• Industry Leadership: Use your deep understanding of industry trends and AAA production values to influence the creative direction and bring groundbreaking ideas to life.

Requirements:
• AAA Experience: Proven track record as a Game Designer on at least one well-known AAA game. A strong portfolio of shipped titles that demonstrates your design skills and contribution to successful projects.
• Expert Gameplay Design Skills: Demonstrable experience in gameplay systems design, including core loops, progression systems, balancing, and feature iteration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams, communicate effectively, and iterate based on both internal and player feedback.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or proprietary development software.
• Creativity & Problem Solving: Excellent creative thinking with a track record of solving complex design challenges and driving compelling player experiences.
• Strong Understanding of Player Psychology: Expertise in designing features that keep players deeply engaged, with an understanding of varied game genres.
• Passion for Games: A deep love of video games, particularly those in the AAA space, and a strong drive to create experiences that resonate with millions of players.

Nice to Haves:
• Live Games Experience: Background in designing live service games, including managing content updates and optimizing player engagement.
• Scripting or Coding Skills: Familiarity with scripting languages or basic programming to facilitate rapid prototyping and enhance communication with engineering teams.
• Indie Experience: Experience working in an agile, fast-paced indie environment—demonstrating adaptability and versatility.
