For our client we are looking for a NetApp Engineer (f/m/d).

Frame data:

Duration: 31.03.25 ++ (long term)

Location: Berlin / Remote (1 week Berlin / 3 weeks remote in rotation), up to 50% onsite in peak times

Role:

– The infrastructure product group offers data center services that are provided via a software stack for other product lines within the program.

– The Netapp engineer is member of the group of compute and storage

engineers within the infrastructure sub-product group (covering network, compute, storage, and backup).

– The engineers of the infrastructure sub-product group build the compute and storage environment

– Within the Infra Product line the Engineering will continuously automated.

– The goal is the build of a fully automated environment where all steps after physical installation will be automated. Therefore, the engineers

require the ability to align with the automation team the steps to automate the environment.

– Using their knowledge, the Netapp engineer will actively analyze the received requirements and validate the information.

Targets:

– Successful storage engineering with Netapp technology: The engineer has the knowledge to transfers the design into the target environment. He tests and documents the environment accordingly. The future core storage technology will beCEPH but for now Netapp knowledge will be needed to implement and support the existing technology stack.

Skills (must-have):

– Very good expertise in storage technologies such as object, block and file storage.

– Good experinece to NetApp topics such as ONTAP, OnCommand, SVMs, NFS, ISCI and S3

– Experience with storage system performance analysis troubleshooting & resolution of complex problems.

– Integration of Netapp into observability.

– Planning and performing update and upgrade scenarios for the above technologies.

– Understanding fundamental LAN and WAN technologies in a Datacenter.

– Experience to use Jira, Confluence and Miro.

– Good English in speech and writing (at least C1)

Skills (should-have)

– CEPH, RHEL, Gitlab (Repo and Pipeline)

– Experience with Ansible/Ansible Tower

– Familiarity with Kubernetes

– Data center wiring and facilities

– Hypervisors and virtualization technologies

– DevOps/Automation tools and concepts

– Relevant certifications from storage vendors
