In this exciting context we are seeking new Unit Manager for our team located in Bad Homburg contributing to the delivery of Services to EMEA customers.
As a Unit Manager from Airline Services Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a Unit working for all Services customers for the EMEA Region, with a particular focus on the Digital scope.
In addition to the team management responsibility, a key part of the job will be to ensure contribution from BHO to EMEA customers meets customer expectations, discussing project and resource needs with the EMEA Train Leaders and Senior Management.
The duty of this position is to lead projects and maintenance activities for the different digital touchpoints of Amadeus EMEA customers, also would be expected for identifying and running continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of technology deliverables, improve efficiency and productivity of the team. In his/her responsibilities, the holder of the job will drive development of people, recruiting activities locally and for the remote site, and reporting to line management in BHO.
Organize and manage support on the developed solutions, both internally and externally (customers, operations…)
Support technical solutions design and conduct feasibility studies
Coordinate unit, package and non-regression tests of the software
AS PEOPLE LEADER (team of 10-15 developers and project managers)
Report on team activities. Foster and support team within Airline Services Engineering sites (Bad Homburg, Nice, Bangalore, Dubai, Istanbul)
Support the Engineering Service vision towards the Team and how it can be leveraged to bring value to existing solution and develop/implement Services strategy
Bachelors or master’s in computer science or Engineering (Software Development)
Excellent knowledge and practice in agile methodologies (Scrum (required), SAFe (preferred))
Good knowledge on Web and client-side technologies (Angular, React, REST/Json APIs usage, …)
Familiar to complete product development lifecycle including production support
Prior experience in managing a team and/or remote site is a plus
Familiar on working in cross functional teams (product management, development, QA, customers), understand team dynamics and priorities of each functional stakeholder and work with them to meet the deadlines
