We are looking for a Senior Documentation Specialist/ Technical Writer. You will be responsible for writing, maintaining, and publishing user-friendly documentation to support our Communications API and Design System. You will play a leading role in launching delightful developer experiences and empowering our teams with better documentation and processes.
Key responsibilities:
• Engaging with developers across multiple domains of expertise to gain a deep understanding of the ClickSend API and supporting products.
• Actively collaborating with the developer community to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that all documentation is aligned with industry standards and best practices.
• Owning and managing our API documentation, to ensure that it follows a consistent, well-structured format and meets customer expectations.
• Writing user-friendly content that transforms complex, technical information into something accessible, engaging, and delightful.
• Providing code-snippets and on-page technical content for our developer portal.
• Advocating for our technical users and participating in customer-centric research.
• Assessing the state of our current technical content and developing innovative approaches for improvement, in-line with our strategic objectives.
• Aiding in the creation and maintenance of a company-wide design system.
• Collaborating with brand copywriters to ensure that all written content has a consistent and accessible tone-of-voice.
• Making critical decisions and establishing documentation strategies that ensure information is accurate, gathered efficiently, and available promptly.
• Facilitating technical training for internal teams about the API and related topics, ensuring that our teams can better meet customer needs.
• Supporting internal teams with better documentation tools, processes, and strategies.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
• Experience writing technical documentation for multiple audiences.
• Experience working with engineering teams to gather complex technical information and communicating this through written copy.
• Ability to present insights and data clearly and concisely.
• Excellent verbal, written, and grammatical communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using APIs or writing content for API documentation.
• Prior development experience in any front-end or back-end languages.
• Ability to self-manage, work independently, and meet deadlines.
