Area Business Development Manager

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Origination Area Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and managing client relationships within your assigned region. Your main goal is to drive revenue growth by promoting our factoring and invoice discounting solutions to potential clients. This position is crucial for expanding our client base and increasing market share.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales:
• Identify and approach potential clients who could benefit from our factoring and invoice discounting services.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects through networking, industry events, and direct outreach.

Client Relationship Management:
• Establish and sustain strong relationships with clients, understanding their cash flow needs and offering tailored solutions.
• Proactively address client concerns and work towards long-term partnerships.

Market Analysis & Strategy:
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activities in the factoring and invoice discounting industry.
• Utilize data insights to refine business development strategies and explore new market segments.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, operations, and marketing, to align sales efforts with company goals.

Partnership Development:
• Develop strategic partnerships with financial institutions, trade associations, and other relevant organizations.
• Negotiate and close deals that drive business growth and enhance our market presence.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote our brand and solutions.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or a similar role, ideally within the factoring, invoice discounting, or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of trade finance, factoring, and cash flow management.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and close complex deals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
