At Veeam, Systems Engineers are specialists in Veeam’s portfolio, and work closely with sales teams and evangelize our product offerings to end users and Veeam partners. SEs help customers and prospects to understand the value of Veeam solutions through technical discussions, demonstrations, and other engagements.

This position is ideal for someone looking to develop their career. All SEs are home-based, and most sales engagements are conducted remotely, but some travel across the UK will be required from time to time.

Job Functions
• Collaborate with Veeam salespeople to technically qualify and progress sales opportunities.
• Meet with end-users and partners to establish business objectives and them into technical requirements.
• Create content and deliver demonstrations, virtually and in person. These sales engagements will include varying numbers and levels of decision makers.
• Manage the technical evaluation stage of the sales process as a main technical advisor for Veeam solutions, with the aim of securing a technical win.
• Diligently record sales engagements in Salesforce and other tools.
• Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, hands-on labs, etc.

Knowledge & Requirements
• A degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent industry experience.
• Be a self-starter with the ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience working in a presales role is a strong advantage, however diverse IT backgrounds will be considered.
• Experience with IT technologies such as hypervisors, storage, networking, and public cloud is beneficial.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Be comfortable presenting to groups, both remotely and in person.
• Be available to travel across the UK and Ireland.
