Zanda is partnering with a fast growth manufacturing business to appoint a Group Financial Controller to help build and scale the finance function within a rapidly growing, venture-backed advanced manufacturing business.
This is a pivotal hire working directly with the CFO at a critical stage of the company’s growth – they have has secured significant venture funding and is expanding internationally across Europe and the US. The business now requires an exceptional finance operator to establish the financial infrastructure, controls, and reporting capability required to support a complex global organisation.
This role is ideally suited to a technically outstanding finance leader who enjoys building from scratch, someone who combines Big 4 technical training with the operational instincts needed inside fast-scaling businesses.
What you will do
• Build and scale a best-in-class finance function capable of supporting a rapidly growing international manufacturing business.
• Implement robust financial reporting, governance, and internal controls across multiple jurisdictions.
• Design and roll out T&E and PO controls from first principles as the organisation scales.
• Establish scalable finance infrastructure, systems, and operational processes across global entities.
• Maintain strong financial discipline and spend governance within a high-growth environment.
• Act as a key partner to the CFO and leadership team as the business scales internationally.
We are looking for someone who
• Trained in Big 4 and is ACA qualified (or equivalent).
• Has operated as CFO-1, Director of Finance, or Group Financial Controller in a high-growth business.
• Has experience inside a venture-backed company that has raised $100M–$200M+ in equity funding.
• Has built finance processes and controls from scratch
• Is comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments.
• Brings the credibility and judgement to enforce financial discipline under operational pressure.
Additional experience of interest
• Advanced manufacturing, defence, or deep-tech environments.
• International operational exposure across multiple jurisdictions.
