GemimiJobs are proud to be partnering with a East London based accountancy firm who are in the market for an VAT Accountant to join their rapidly growing practice. Established in 2005, our client has been serving clients as accountants, business advisors, and tax consultants.
• Must have 3-4 years accountancy practice experience
• Must hace experience of working with VAT with construction client, CIS and VT within accountancy practice
Responsibilities:
• We are very keen to speak to candidates who have worked in Accountancy Practice particularly with Construction Industry Clients.
• Candidiates who have good book-keeping skills using VT Transaction software
• Candidates who have working knowledge of VAT Domestic Reverse Charge that applies to Construction clients. Should know Journal entries and how to record this using accounting software
• Candidates who have working knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme Tax (CIS). Should know what CIS Suffered and CIS deductions means. Should know how CIS tax applies to Contractors and Subcontractors. Should be comfortable in recording CIS entries in book-keeping software. Have some experience or working knowledge of preparing CIS retunrs for subcontractors.
• Indepently able to prepare VAT returns. Able to work with missing information
• Not compulsory but would be beneficial if have some expeirence of preparing Accounts using IRIS Accountancy Suite Software.
