Part Time Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant to join our client’s team on a contract basis in Hudson, Wisconsin. This role involves supporting various accounting functions, including billing, invoice processing, and expense reviews. The position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 20 to 25 hours per week, providing a great opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Handle client billing tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing charges.

• Verify weekly hotel expenses and ensure proper client billing.

• Enter invoices, including hotel-related and other expenses, into the accounting system with precision.

• Process approximately 40 to 50 invoices weekly, maintaining attention to detail.

• Review expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including managing timesheets and tax documentation.

• Familiarize yourself with and utilize accounting software such as Sage Intacct and Paylocity.

• Provide support for additional accounting responsibilities as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.

• Previous experience in accounting support, billing, or accounts payable.
• Proficiency with processing invoices and reviewing expenses.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage Intacct or Paylocity is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
• Capability to learn new systems and follow established procedures.
• Experience in staffing or detail-oriented services is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for basic accounting tasks.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
