Best VS. Average Candidate:
Need hands-on experience on Murex – in depth knowledge of application, FX cash, FX options, products in it, preferably have worked on larger projects and can lead specific streams within the larger project
Someone who has been involved on the application itself and can be independent contributors/leads for the streams in the projects
Going into a migration project so looking for those who have had experience with migration or can be SMEs on existing roles in the application
Migrating into Murex from another vendor platform
Screening questions – have you worked directly on the application, on the team that supports the applications and not on projects that may reference data from the application; there are a lot of people who have Murex experience in regulatory projects but not really working within the application itself
Types of profiles / previous titles – technical system analyst, BAs (delivery manager may not be the right fit)
Feedback – candidate hired had Wallstreet (back office) experience – looking for front office (risk) candidates in priority as the team has a lot of back-office experience
– Candidates interviewed could not answer any questions about products, trade lifecycle as they only touched application data but did not have in depth understanding of the application or the products
Candidate Review & Selection – Interview Process
2 rounds – MS Teams Video Interviews – 45 minutes
1 with SMEs
2nd with HM
