Accounting Director – Hospitality Industry

Job Description:
• Design and maintain centralized financial systems for hospitality operators ($5–50M) that hold under the pressure of rapid scaling.
• Lead, mentor, and audit a large accounting team. Ensure every deliverable meets Howard’s standards for accuracy and composure.
• Direct the financial health of the Hospitality vertical. This includes controlled payroll, predictable multi-unit reporting, and cash flow visibility.
• Provide senior-level perspective. Help founders and operators see the full picture so they can make decisions with confidence.
• Standardize documented processes across the vertical to remove single points of failure and dependencies on individuals.

Requirements:
• 10+ years in senior accounting roles, with a dedicated focus on the hospitality industry (multi-unit restaurants, hotels, or venues)
• Proven track record of managing large, high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
• Mastery of GAAP, complex payroll structures, and multi-entity consolidations
• You think like an owner. You are deliberate, selective, and prefer a one-sentence solution to a three-page explanation.
• Clear, confident, and exact communication. You respect the financial literacy of our clients and avoid jargon.
