Job Overview
This position will handle full-cycle accounting tasks for various clients. This role will be responsible for the month-end close for multiple clients, over various industries (construction, e-commerce, law firms, non-profits). Some of our clients need cost accounting and accrual basis accounting. The position can start as full-time or part-time and can transition to full-time.
Candidate must have extensive experience with Construction industries and a plus if you have Non-Profit Accounting and Financial reporting experience. Candidate must be an expert user with QBO, Double, & Excel.
Responsibilities
Manage general accounting duties including payroll, AR & AP entries, bank register entries, and bank reconciliations.
Needs to be familiar with State and local taxes, 401K, worker’s comp
Improve accounting processes and procedures, troubleshoot issues
Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and the close process
Analyze inventory variances or variances between books and tax returns.
File Sales Tax returns, Excise Tax returns, IFTA returns, Payroll tax returns (941, 940), etc.
Plus more if required by the client
Qualifications
• 2 years of month-end accounting experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills – Must be a self-starter & hold yourself accountable
• Experience with accounting software, QBO, Foundation, Gusto, ADP, & more
• Various Tech Apps: Outlook, Slack, Double, Dropbox, Sharepoint, 1Password, Google Drive, Zoom, Etc.
• Must have a professional work office at home with reliable high-speed internet.
• An active EA or CPA license is preferred

Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
