Position: Business Analyst Consultant

Department: Population Aligned Care Transformation (PACT) Strategic Work Team

Reports to: Functionally reports to the Director of Business Analysis & Due Diligence, while being a member of the Population Aligned Care Transformation (PACT) Strategic Work Team and receiving day-to-day guidance from the solution owner.

Location: Hybrid. Must be willing to come on-site in La Crosse from time to time.

Position Summary:

The Consulting Business Analyst is a role at Emplify Health who works with Agile and Project teams to help improve our patient experience and business results. This may include business process analysis, software configuration, testing, meeting facilitation, and problem solutioning. This role will work closely with one or more Agile Teams on a regular basis, taking direction from the appropriate Solution Owners. Due to the quality of expected work, this individual will perform high-level strategic consulting, advising, and influencing business and technology decisions up to the executive level.

Responsibilities:
• Work with leaders and subject matter experts across the organization to map current business processes and baseline costs.
• Analyze current processes to identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve the patient experience.
• Monitor processes after improvements to determine impact and validate if business objectives are met.
• Complete additional analysis as necessary to support the work of Agile teams in delivering value to the business and improve patient experience.
• Lead the end-to-end business analysis process, from identifying business problems to delivering actionable solutions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts on best practices and methodologies.
• Conduct complex data analysis and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Assist multiple solution or cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
• Identify the design and business process improvements, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.
• Take ownership of larger and more complex business analyst projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives and key stakeholders on complex business and technology challenges.
• Lead business analysis initiatives that have a direct impact on the enterprise strategy and growth.
• Conduct in-depth industry and market analysis to identify opportunities for business innovation.
• Develop comprehensive business cases, including cost-benefit analyses, to support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee the implementation of large-scale initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with C-suite executives, senior managers, and external consultants to drive business transformation.
• Provide thought leadership by staying current with industry trends, methodologies, and emerging technologies.
• Configure software to enhance technology products or fix defects, especially where business knowledge is valuable or required.
• Support teams with testing to ensure solutions are high quality and don’t introduce new defects, including completing testing and coordinating testing with other teams.
• Create documentation as needed for the technical team members to reduce efforts of expanding/supporting technology products and users to help improve their experience, reduce total cost, and increase time spent on enhancing features.
• Utilize a structured approach to analyzing and identifying potential solutions for business problems in collaboration with Solution Owner(s), Business Leader(s), Experience Designers, Development team, and others.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working sessions as needed to better understand our current state and find solutions to business problems.
• Summarize findings and present to appropriate leaders/stakeholders to share key insights and potential solutions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field.

Experience: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business analyst or similar role.
• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on strategic consulting and leadership
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.
• Experience working in healthcare and an Agile environment preferred.
• Proven expertise in complex, high-impact projects and influencing key business decisions.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience working directly with senior leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights that drive organizational change.
• Strong experience in change management, business transformation, and risk management.
