Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper (100% Remote)

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage our weekly payroll and core financial records. This is a flexible, 100% remote position perfect for a dedicated professional looking to balance other commitments while providing high-level accounting support.
The primary focus of this role is the accurate processing of weekly payroll for 20 operatives, ensuring our team is paid correctly and on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities
• Weekly Payroll: Process end-to-end payroll for 20 operatives, including calculating hours, deductions, and statutory payments.
• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate ledgers and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly within our accounting software.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Compliance: Ensure all payroll activities comply with current HMRC regulations and filing requirements (RTI).
• Reporting: Provide basic weekly or monthly financial snapshots to management as required.
Candidate Requirements
• Certification: An AAT Certification (Level 3 or higher) is highly preferred.
• Software Expertise: Extensive experience with at least one (ideally more) of the following:
• QuickBooks
• Sage
• Xero
• Payroll Experience: Proven track record of managing weekly payroll cycles, specifically for manual or operative-based workforces.
• Remote Proficiency: Must be self-motivated with a reliable home office setup and the ability to communicate effectively via email and video calls.
• Attention to Detail: A high degree of accuracy is non-negotiable, given the weekly nature of our payroll.
