Government Contract Writer (Part-Time to Full-Time)
Hey everyone,
My name is Britton, and I run Streak Advisors. Streak Advisors is a growing consulting firm focused on helping organizations secure funding through both grant writing and government contracting.
We’re now a small team, and we’re at a stage where process, quality, and execution really matter. We’re looking for someone who can step into our existing systems, learn how we work, and take ownership of a meaningful portion of the RFP workload while also helping build out this side of the business over time.
What we need now is a strong government contract writer with real RFP experience. This person should be able to support active opportunities, think strategically about how this service line should grow, and gradually take on a larger role as client volume increases.
The Role: Government Contract Writer
• Type: Part-time to start (approximately 15 to 20 hours per week), with a path to full-time after the first couple of months
• Location: Remote (preference for Utah or nearby states)
• Structure: Contract position to start
Proposal Writing & RFP Execution
• Draft and edit proposal narratives, response sections, and supporting materials for government solicitations.
• Review RFPs, RFQs, and similar bid documents to identify scope, requirements, deadlines, and compliance needs.
• Translate solicitation requirements into clear outlines, checklists, and writing plans.
• Organize and incorporate client materials such as resumes, past performance, pricing inputs, forms, technical details, and attachments.
• Help ensure submissions are complete, accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
Strategic Build-Out
• Work directly with leadership to help shape how Streak Advisors builds and delivers government contracting services.
• Help improve internal systems, templates, workflows, and repeatable processes for RFP work.
• Provide input on opportunity fit, go/no-go decisions, and what types of engagements are worth pursuing.
• Contribute to the long-term structure of this service line as it grows from a smaller function into a larger part of the business.
Workflow & Organization
• Work within Streak Advisors’ existing systems, templates, and workflows.
• Maintain opportunity pipelines, submission calendars, and task tracking in Asana.
• Keep Google Drive folders, working drafts, and related files organized and current.
• Communicate clearly about project status, blockers, and materials needed from clients or internal stakeholders.
Tools We Use
• Asana
• Google Drive
• Google Docs
• Google Sheets
• Gmail
• Loom

• Comfort using Asana or similar project management systems.
• Ability to follow existing systems while also helping improve them over time.
• Strong communication and responsiveness.
• Comfort using AI tools to support writing, summarization, and efficiency.
Preferred
• Experience with federal, state, or local government contracting environments.
• Familiarity with compliance-driven proposal writing.
• Ability to think strategically, not just execute tasks.
• Comfort helping shape a growing service line inside a small business.

• Able to take ownership without needing constant direction.
• Resourceful and comfortable figuring things out.
• Communicative and proactive when questions come up.
