Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Jira Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of Jira solutions within our organisation. The successful candidate will possess extensive expertise in system architecture, solution design, and cloud technologies to ensure seamless integration and performance of Jira platforms. Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Jira architecture strategies aligned with organisational goals and best practices.
• Design scalable, secure, and efficient Jira solutions leveraging Service-oriented architecture principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Jira with AWS, Azure, VMware, and other cloud or virtualisation platforms.
• Lead system design activities encompassing system administration, network configuration, and security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and information security measures.
• Implement and optimise APIs, REST services, microservices architectures, and automation scripts using Python, Bash, Shell Scripting, and Git.
• Manage database integrations involving MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
• Oversee system deployment using Kubernetes, Jenkins, DevOps practices, and SDLC methodologies to ensure continuous delivery.
• Provide expert guidance on load balancing, DNS management, DHCP configuration, and network security including firewalls and VPNs.
• Ensure compliance with organisational standards for system design, security policies, and operational procedures across Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Act as a key technical resource for troubleshooting complex issues related to system architecture or integration challenges.
Requirements
• Proven experience in solution architecture within IT environments specialising in Service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure alongside virtualisation technologies like VMware ESXi.
• Strong background in systems engineering including system design for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python; scripting skills in Bash/Unix Shell; database expertise with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; familiarity with T-SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes orchestration tools like Docker; CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; source control via Git; automation through Shell Scripting.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs; security protocols involving firewalls and information security practices.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture principles; experience working within SDLC frameworks; familiarity with API development (REST/JSON).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Relevant certifications in cloud services (AWS/Azure), systems engineering or security are highly desirable. This role is ideal for a proactive professional eager to utilise their extensive technical expertise to shape our organisation’s IT landscape through innovative Jira solutions.
