• As a Senior Analyst in Data & Insight, you will get the chance to lead analytical work that helps CQC understand how well a Local Authority is supporting people in its community.
• You will also get the chance to contribute to the design of new ways of gathering and using data to support fair and consistent assessments.
Job description
The role
This is a new team at CQC and under the leadership of the Principal Analyst you will work closely with other team members and wider stakeholders to shape and deliver new ways of working to support assessment of Local Authorities.
You’ll work closely with others to deliver shared outcomes. In this role, you’ll:
• Lead analytical projects: Shape and deliver complex analytical work using both quantitative and qualitative data that supports Local Authority assessments, ensuring insight is clear, accurate, and useful.
• Guide and support colleagues: Help others use data and insight tools effectively, offering direction and sharing good practice across the team.
• Engage and influence: Work with internal and external partners to understand their needs and make sure insight supports better decisions and outcomes.

We will be looking for specific skills, knowledge and experience in your application form:
• Experience preparing and analysing data: Show how you have cleaned, structured, and analysed data to produce insight that others can act on.
• Experience leading analytical work: Demonstrate how you have guided a team or project, chosen suitable methods, and delivered clear findings.
• Experience communicating insight to different audiences: Give examples of how you have explained complex information in simple, engaging ways, including through visuals or storytelling.
