Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and proactive Disaster Recovery Analyst to join our dynamic and remotely distributed team. Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures for critical IT systems and business processes.
• Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to identify critical business functions and their associated IT dependencies.
• Define and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for various systems and applications.
• Organize, facilitate, and document disaster recovery drills and exercises, including tabletop exercises and full-scale simulations.
• Identify gaps in current disaster recovery capabilities and recommend strategic improvements or new solutions.
• Collaborate with IT operations, infrastructure, security, and application teams to integrate DR best practices into system design and deployment.
• Maintain detailed documentation of DR plans, recovery procedures, system configurations, and test results.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Provide expert guidance and support during actual disaster events or critical incidents to ensure effective recovery.
Required Skills
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or IT Operations with a focus on resilience.
• Proven experience in developing, testing, and managing DR plans.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, databases, virtualization, cloud platforms).
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) as they relate to DR.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working effectively in a remote team environment.
• Proficiency with DR planning tools and software.
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Disaster Recovery Professional (CDRP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or similar.
• Experience with cloud-based DR solutions (e.g., Azure Site Recovery, AWS DR, GCP DR).
• Project management experience within an IT or DR context.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
