Job Description
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Power BI Analyst to join our expanding team at Career.aliyucares, working entirely remotely from Pastena, Salerno, or any suitable location within Italy. As a Power BI Analyst, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide critical insights to our clients and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of BI solutions, from initial data gathering and requirements analysis to data modeling, report creation, and ongoing maintenance. This involves collaborating closely with various departments, understanding their analytical needs, and translating those needs into robust Power BI solutions that are both intuitive and highly functional. A strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes using tools like Power Query, and advanced SQL querying is essential, as you will be working with diverse data sources such as SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, and web services to ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reports. Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Connect to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, web services) and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Develop and optimize data models in Power BI using DAX formulas.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and gather requirements.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports.
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis and present findings to management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and data optimization.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
Required Skills
• 3+ years of experience as a Power BI Analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency in designing and developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Advanced SQL querying skills.
• Experience with various data sources and ETL processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
