Senior Integrations Engineer – Contract Opportunity
3 month contract – remote – potential to extend
Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Integration Engineer with strong Boomi expertise to design, build, and support scalable, event-driven integration solutions. This role focuses on developing modern integrations across APIs, data platforms, and enterprise systems while ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability in a cloud-based environment.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop end-to-end integrations using Boomi, including requirements gathering, mapping, testing, and deployment
• Build and support integrations across APIs, databases, third-party systems, and file-based transfers
• Implement event-driven architectures (EDA) using asynchronous messaging (e.g., Boomi Event Streams, Google Pub/Sub)
• Utilize Boomi Atom Queue (Get, Send, Listen) for message-based communication between processes
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP APIs following best practices
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production integration issues, including root cause analysis
• Ensure data quality, performance, security, and availability across integration workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, business-aligned integration solutions
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in integration engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Boomi development and architecture
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Boomi Event Streams, Pub/Sub, Kafka alternatives)
• Proficiency in API development (REST/SOAP) and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV)
• Experience with Boomi connectors (SFTP, HTTP, DB, APIs)
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar, plus scripting for automation
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake)
• Understanding of security, authentication, and integration best practices
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
• Boomi certification
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Exposure to retail/e-commerce or Oracle Retail systems
• Familiarity with EDI transactions
The salary range for this position is 65/hr to 72/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
