Office & Ecommerce Assistant

Location: Remote with one day a week working with Office Manager

Salary: £23,500

Hours: 35 hours per week

That Pond Guy is one of the South East’s leading pond specialists, providing pond cleaning, maintenance, pond construction, fibreglassing, aquatic plants, pond equipment and lake management services throughout Kent and the surrounding areas.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised, motivated and proactive Office & Ecommerce Assistant to join our team and support our Office Manager with the day to day running of the business.

This is a varied role that combines office administration, customer service, ecommerce management and social media marketing. No two days are the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and taking ownership of their workload.

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with the day to day administration of the business
• Supporting the Office Manager with customer enquiries and bookings
• Responding to customer emails and website enquiries
• Managing and processing online orders
• Updating products, pricing and content on our website
• Assisting with stock management and supplier orders
• Managing and growing our social media channels
• Creating engaging social media content including photos, videos and posts
• Monitoring messages, comments and customer interactions across social platforms
• Assisting with marketing campaigns and promotional activities
• Maintaining customer records and business systems
• General office administration duties

What We’re Looking For
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident using computers and learning new software
• Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to get involved
• Previous office, administration, ecommerce or marketing experience would be beneficial

Desirable Skills
• Experience with WordPress or WooCommerce
• Basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar software
• Experience creating social media content and short form videos
• Knowledge of SEO and online marketing
• Experience managing ecommerce websites
