Insights Quality Assurance Analyst (2 year fixed contract)

Purpose:

To provide professional quality review and assurance across Insights projects, protecting our reputation, capability and bringing benefits and efficiencies internally and to external clients.

The role will undertake quality review and assurance to multiple project outputs at a time, ensuring that all projects are delivered to a high standard and meeting customer needs.

Key Roles:

Working across the Insights team, you will be expected to:
• Lead the quality assurance process for Insights projects including utilising a mix of manual and automated testing to ensure accuracy and consistency of project outputs
• Design, build and implement automated tests and assurance to specifications and requirements
• Develop and maintain robust quality and assurance processes that improve efficiency and client satisfaction
• Determine what to test following an agreed approach
• Collaborate with internal technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure outputs align with requirements
• Identify opportunities for automation in quality review, driving innovation and reducing manual effort
• Work with the technical team to deliver appropriate output improvements
• Report and communicate issues / progress to members in the team
• Perform other related duties as required from time to time

Skills:

The Insights Quality Assurance Analyst shall have:
• Experience of designing and implementing quality review and assurance processes
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency in outputs.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects and outputs at any one time
• Ability to collaborate with non-technical and technical teams to deliver improvements to project outputs.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong documentation and reporting skills to support transparency and accountability
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• An open and transparent manner

Knowledge:

The Insights Quality Assurance Analyst shall be able to demonstrate:
• Degree level familiarity in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency with common GIS software packages (eg. ArcGIS Online, QGIS)
• Knowledge of relational databases and database query languages (Oracle, Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of Local Authorities address and street data
