About ACT
Argyll and the Isles Coast and Countryside Trust (ACT) is a Scottish charity working to care for, enhance, and promote the stunning coast and countryside of Argyll and the Isles. With a team of 34 staff, we deliver projects spanning rainforest regeneration, peatland restoration, active travel, outdoor learning, and community climate action — making Argyll a better place to live, work, and visit. We’re a dynamic, non-bureaucratic organisation with a genuine passion for the places and communities we serve.
The opportunity
We’re looking for a Finance and Operations Assistant/Officer to join our small, friendly team. This is a key role at the heart of our organisation, keeping our projects well resourced, organised, and running smoothly so our teams can focus on delivering meaningful work across Argyll and the Isles.

• Payroll experience
• Experience working with grant-funded projects and financial reporting
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• An understanding of, and enthusiasm for, ACT’s work
