Overview
Parent-Help is seeking a motivated and organised Volunteer Administrative Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our social work and family support services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in administration, social care, project coordination and business support.
The role involves supporting service delivery by processing enquiries, communicating with clients and professionals, coordinating appointments and sessions, conducting research, and assisting with general administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Process incoming enquiries and leads from local authorities, professionals, and members of the public.
• Contact prospective clients to gather information and discuss service requirements.
• Respond to emails and maintain professional communication with clients, professionals, and partner organisations.
• Coordinate family time sessions, assessments, and support services.
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with preparing documents, reports, and service information.
• Conduct research into local authorities, organisations, funding opportunities, and service developments.
• Support business development activities, including maintaining contact databases and outreach lists.
• Follow up on enquiries and ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Provide general administrative support to the management team as required.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who:
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Is confident speaking with people by telephone and email.
• Has good organisational and time-management skills.
• Is comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online systems.
• Has strong attention to detail.
• Can work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Is professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Has an interest in social work, family support, children’s services, administration, or business operations.
Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential.

Time Commitment
