Our client is a well-established B2B business with a global client base and long-standing partnerships with the major enterprise technology platforms. They are at an inflection point: the platform that runs the business works, but it was built on an older Microsoft stack, and leadership wants someone who can both modernize it and deploy AI across the product and the operation.
This is not a ticket queue role. It is not a dev team lead role with a director title. It is the senior-most technology seat in the company, with full ownership of infrastructure, security, vendors, the dev team, platform modernization, and AI adoption.
We are looking for a technologist who has run a full technology function at a services or B2B company and is ready to do it again at a company with 30 years of history, global enterprise partnerships, and a funded technology transformation mandate.
What you will actually own:
– Full organizational technology leadership: infrastructure, security governance, vendor relationships, and the development team
– The migration of a legacy VB codebase to a modern .NET architecture
– Build-versus-buy decisions aligned with business and technical goals
– AI and agentic workflow deployment across sales, operations, finance, and content
– Infrastructure as code and cloud-hosted environment management
– Technology governance frameworks enabling confident AI adoption across the organization
– Enterprise client technology commitments and SLA accountability
What we are looking for:
– 8 or more years in technology with a clear arc from hands-on engineering into full organizational leadership
– 3 or more years as the senior-most or one of the most senior technologists at a company with full scope: dev team, infrastructure, security, vendors, and cross-functional technology strategy simultaneously
– Real depth in the Microsoft ecosystem: .NET and C# in production, ideally with legacy VB or classic Microsoft migration experience
– A working track record with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and workflow automation in a live business context
– Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including infrastructure as code
– Background in a services or platform business where technology supports revenue and enterprise client commitments is a strong plus
