Job Description Our Finance team brings together our financial perspectives into our overall strategic and tactical decision making. As the Company s portfolio continues to evolve and expand, the Associate Director, External Manufacturing, Global Vaccines Operations (ExM GVO) Finance will play a critical role partnering with the ExM GVO leaders to support ongoing and new supplier relationships across vaccines and large molecule to ensure sustainable growth. As a core member of the ExM Operations team, which includes senior and operational leaders, the Associate Director will provide financial analyses and guidance to support decision making across vendor selection, contract negotiation & review and risk assessments and will be the primary point of contact to ensure financial controls, to calculate efficiencies across the network and to lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities. In addition, the Associate Director will coordinate ExM activities cross-functionally in areas such as procurement, supply chain, legal and several other finance functions. The Associate Director, ExM GVO Finance will report into the Finance Director, ExM. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 1. Implement and oversee financial reporting and controls associated with External Manufacturing relationships which support our company s products. 2. External Manufacturing relationship terms and conditions can vary significantly, therefore the incumbent will need to study and understand specifics of numerous agreements. 3. Manage various aspects of new External Manufacturing relationships through collaboration with finance, operations, business development and network stakeholders. This may include activities such as due diligence, standard costing, entity structure set up, and inventory reconciliation mechanisms, as well as understanding and applying true-up mechanisms included in contracts. 4. Review and provide feedback on supplier awards prior to presentation to External Manufacturing Leadership Team and Global Sourcing Committee. 5. Monitor financial strength of suppliers and liaise with Procurement to assess solvency and supply risk. 6. Prepare and analyze monthly results, forecasts and other reports for use by our manufacturing division and Corporate management. Preparation of these reports requires a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing accounting policies, procedures and cost systems. 7. Take a significant role in the annual Budget and 5-Year Plan process. Coordinate tracking of various productivity programs and initiatives. 8. Develop and recommend new and/or improved methods, plans, policies and changes in present practices for the purpose of accumulating, reporting and controlling costs. This includes searching out opportunities and ideas for cost reductions and other efficiencies through analysis of financial and measurement data. 9. Support digital solution implementations as necessary. Identify dashboards, reports and analyses that can be completed using a digital solution as opposed to current excel workbooks. 10. Prepare financial analysis: cash flows, NPV, income statements, balance sheets. 11. Provide finance support for any other ad hoc issues that may develop. 12. Visit suppliers if necessary, therefore international travel may be required. EDUCATION: BS/BA required, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in an accounting, finance or forecasting related role. Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, negotiation, and problem solving Demonstrated ability to act in a business partnership role, advising, guiding, influencing Ability to lead through change and ambiguity Good knowledge of systems (e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, SAP, PowerBI or other analytical tools) PREFERRED: A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or cost accounting related role. A minimum of 1 years of project management related experience. MBA/CPA Demonstrated leadership, team building/people management abilities and sensitivity to diverse cultures. Ability to work independently and be decisive in ambiguous environment Excellent data analytics required alongside ability to take an assumptions-based approach. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
